Item Group Creation

Item Group is a set of items associated with each other because they fit into some common group with respect to the business. An Item Group is a higher level categorization under which similar types of items are grouped. All items are classified under item Groups.

To create item Group, click on “Masters > Item > Item Group Creation”, the following screen will be appeared:

This screen contains the following fields:

  • Item Group: Enter the name of item group which is to be created.

  • Primary: Enter “Yes” if you want to create item group as primary.

  • Under Group: This field becomes active if you select “No” in primary field. Select the group under which you want to create the sub-group.

  • Comments: Enter the special note for the item Group.

After entering all the details, click on “Save” button to save the information.

The following buttons are used in Item Creation Form:

  • Add: To add new entry.

  • Save: To save the data.

  • Cancel: To cancel particular operation.

  • Edit: To edit existing records.

  • Delete: To delete the record.

  • Exit: To exit from current window.

  • List: To generate a list of all existing records.

If you want to view the details of Item group then select that item group from the list and press enter or double click.

If you want to print the existing records, click on “Print” button.
